Recently, CYPC received a letter of appreciation from the?Development and Reform Commission?of?Jiangsu?Province, thanking the company for its active support and cooperation in supporting Jiangsu's power supply. In the letter, the Commission recognized CYPC's vital contributions in helping the province effectively respond to the severe challenge of the prolonged high temperatures, providing a solid guarantee for the safe operation of power supply?and the stable?and?orderly lives?of the?people?of?Jiangsu.
During the peak summer consumption period, Jiangsu's maximum electricity?load reached historic levels seven times, breaking through?140 GW on 17 times, with the highest load peaking at 147 GW,?which marked?an increase of nearly 15 GW compared to that of the last year. Ensuring a stable power supply under these conditions was exceptionally challenging. In response, CYPC took swift actions to ensure electricity security. While maintaining flood control safety, the company carried out coordinated optimization of the cascade reservoirs and refined the power generation curves at its Three Gorges Hydropower Plant and Baihetan Hydropower Plant. This meticulous management of plant operation has led to a significant increase in electricity output, helping to alleviate the strain on Jiangsu's power supply and ensuring reliable electricity for residents. During this period, the?Baihetan Hydropower Plant achieved its first full-load operation since its launch, generating over 10 TWh in August alone, setting a new record for monthly power generation.
This letter of appreciation not only affirms CYPC's efforts in securing energy supply,?but also highlights the company's fulfillment of its social responsibilities and its strong sense of corporate commitment. It is also a powerful witness of the joint journey between CYPC and Jiangsu Province. In?the?future,?CYPC will continue to fulfill its mission as a central state-owned enterprise, play?a leading?role in securing the national energy supply, promoting economic stability, and meeting people's needs for daily life.?
